King's ZrSi- Zirconium Silicate Fine Powder

King's zirconium silicate (ZrSi) production site is located in the South-east of China which is only 70km to Xiamen seaport. With 6 big ball mills and 42 medium-sized stirred mills as one production line, our plant has a production capacity of 1,200MT each month currently. With the completion of another new production line quite soon, our production capacity will be expanded to 2,400MT per month which will make us the largest producer & supplier of zirconium silicate in China.

However, quantity is not our final goal to achieve, quality is  our priority to pursue. We know the quality of King's Zirconium silicate (ZrSi) rely heavily on the quality of our raw material—zircon sand, that's why we always choose the best zircon sand in the market. All King's zirconium silicate fine powder (ZrSi) are produced based on the well selected imported zircon sand from Australia and South Africa. From the first step, we are already one step ahead to our competitors. The strictly controlled wet-fine-grinding system further guarantees our leading position in the market.

Zirconium silicate or zircon powder is very refractory and acts as an opacifier in glazes. For this reason, it is thus most effective at low temperatures. Zirconium silicate is extremely stable and will survive to very high temperatures in a glaze melt without dissolving (although small amounts do dissolve). Up to 20% may be required to opacify some transparent glazes, amounts beyond this reach saturation where crystallization begins to occur. The exact amount needed varies between different glaze types.

It is beneficial to add zirconium silicate to transparent glazes in amounts up to 3% to improve hardness and reduce thermal expansion. This is because small amounts can be taken into solution and will therefore not opacify.

King's zirconium silicate (ZrSi) are widely used in ceramic industry for the production of tiles, tableware and sanitary ware.
